Lucky City RP Server Rules

Here are the official rules for Lucky City RP. While in the city, every resident is expected to follow the rules at all times. We created these rules to ensure that people could experience quality role-play while keeping the player in mind. The rules are a way to enhance role-play, allowing for a more realistic experience while still having fun. These rules are subject to change, so we expect you to check the update tab in Discord often. If you have any questions, please create a ticket in the official discord.

Section 1: General Rules

1. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years old to be on this server.

2. A working microphone with no background noise

A microphone is required.
Set you voice chat to push to talk using the voice chat settings in the game.

3. Respect others at all times.

There is a zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech of any kind.
It includes but is not limited to racial slurs, sexual harassment, transphobia, homophobia, and derogatory statements.

4. Power Gaming

There is a zero-tolerance policy towards power gaming,
The use of elevated system access as an unfair advantage against a non-elevated player and using elements to get out of a situation during an interaction.
Disregarding this policy will result in a 168 hr./1-week ban.

5. OOC(Out of Character), RP(Role play), and PVE(Player vs Environment).

(OOC) is allowed within the city; if you are in OOC, please be mindful of others who are In Character (IC). We created Lucky City for people to relax, so you could just come to do your job and chill without having to RP.
Role play your interactions with Emergency Services and LEO (Law Enforcement Officials) is mandatory.
Using /me and /do is essential and, as such, should be used in all RP situations.
Player vs. Environment, the locals can shoot and will shoot if they are in danger; please be mindful of that and value your life.

6. ERP (Erotic Role Play) is allowed as long as:

It is consensual for all parties involved
It must take place in a private setting, that is your, house or apartment
Indecent exposure will result in an arrest or a ban.

7. Please value your life and freedom.

Jail time and fines can result in business loss and impact community standing.
Remember, we are in GTA-RP, not GTA Online.

8. Do not force RP on others

Harassing someone to perform RP will not be tolerated.
If they deny you RP, you must move on and consider the situation voided.

9. Random Death Match (RDM):

Attempting to kill or the act of killing a player without a valid role play reason.
Have a story behind every death.
The death that occurs needs to make sense; walking up to someone and shooting them for no reason is not a valid initiation.
You need to have a minimum of three negative interactions.
Please read this rule to avoid a ban.

10. Vehicle Death Match (VDM):

Vehicle Death match uses a vehicle to kill someone or cause grievous bodily harm to another player without any role play.
You need to have a minimum of three negative interactions.
Please read this rule to avoid a ban.

11. Locals/NPCs(Non-Playable Characters)/Peds(Pedestrians):

These are characters around the city going about their daily lives.
Please treat them like real people because they are.
The cops will arrest you for committing a crime against locals as they would an RP character.
The cops will get an alert when you hurt a local or kill them.

12. Re-spawning:

If you are by yourself and having technical difficulties with the medic, please create a ticket in Discord to get an admin to assist, or log out and log back in at Pillbox to get the medic.
You can use this only when there is a glitch or technical issue with the medic resource.
Leaving an RP Scene or leaving to avoid arrest is strictly prohibited.
Examples include but are not limited to
- a. You are about to get arrested for a crime committed and decide to log off when the police are giving chase.
- b. You were about to get a beating from a gang for selling in their territory, and you left before they could get to you.

13. Safe Zones are as follows:

City Hall and Courthouse
Every hospital
Clothing stores
Restaurants
Police Stations
PDM
Garages
Impounds

The sidewalk is free range. You are not allowed to run into a safe zone to avoid confrontation. Doing so will result in a strike.

14. Strike System: We’ve implemented a warning system. The warning system guides you, the player, and the admins. Consider this a strike system that will be applied based on situations. Please remember that admins can use their discretion when using this system.

Permaban

Punishment depends on the offense, and this system may not go in the order of warning to severe. Sometimes, it might go straight to an instant permaban or other strikes.

15. New Life Rule (NLR)

A new life means that if you die, your character loses memories, events, and information concerning their death.
Using the medic, EMS, and the Local at the hospital to revive is still considered a death.
You cannot act on previous information after you re-spawn.
You won’t be able to act on the previous information. You can’t return to the place of the incident for 15 minutes.
You cannot return to get your vehicle.
You can remember friends and gang members.
Your character can remember everything except for the events that caused and ultimately led to your death.

16. Failed RP

Breaking Character If you are in a role play scene with another player, and they are breaking the rules, or something might seem unrealistic, please continue the scene and create a ticket to report the issue.
Do not stop to tell the person, “Failed RP,” “You can’t do that in a green zone,” or “You are breaking the rules,” it is not appropriate.

17. Approaching Staff

Approaching the Mayor, staff, or admin about tickets during RP is not appropriate.
If you have issues, please create a ticket in Discord under the Server – Tickets section or in the in-game ticket system (t /report).
Remember, everyone has a story, and they are also trying to RP.
To reiterate: Please use /report in-game to get assistance from the staff in-game or use Discord to get help from any admin staff.

18. Ticket Creation

When creating a ticket, a video is required.
The video must show before the incident, during the incident, and after the incident. The video must be at least 2 minutes long.
You could capture the footage using OBS, Medal, or in-game capture software.

19. Offenses that will result in a permanent ban:

Sexual Assault/ Rape
Pedophilia/bestiality/necrophilia
Animal RP
RP as a minor
Suicide RP
Cheating (As explained in rule 20).

20. Exploits

The use of third-party software is an offense that will result in a ban, whether you use it to gain an advantage.
If an exploit is discovered in-game, you must report it using the ticketing system in Discord. Failure to do so, will result in loss of possessions.
Examples of an exploit
- Using a weapon that is meant for hunting to shoot other players
- Taking weapons and ammunition from the police armory to give to your other character or to friends (There are logs for that).
- Logging off to bypass a script’s limit.
- Using third party software to circumvent the anti-cheat.

21. Character Kill

If you no longer want your character, submit a ticket request at least two days before setting up the scene.
You could RP out getting killed in a fight, by a car, or even kidnapped.
Going to prison for life or being permanently banned will result in a character kill authorization.

22. Restarts

During a planned restart or tsunami at 02:00 AM every morning, No CRIMES ARE ALLOWED 15 minutes before or after the event.
If it’s an unplanned server restart, No CRIMES ARE ALLOWED for 15 minutes after.
The crimes are as follows: Robberies (shop, bank jewelry), murder, stealing, and kidnapping. No purge runs during this time. Do everything else but a crime.
